Keg and Barrel is Mississippi’s only brewpub, though its original operation, furtively stowed in the basement next door, wasn’t exactly legal. Today, the bar usually has two house beers that complement one of the finest beer selections in the region: 55 taps pour a complete lineup of home-state Lazy Magnolia brews alongside other craft selections from breweries like Flying Dog and Abita. Mississippi puts the kibosh on higher-ABV brews, but this place admirably does its best to keep craft flowing into Hattiesburg. 1315 Hardy St.
