Perhaps the smallest brewery in the United States, Southern Prohibition Brewery is housed in the Keg and Barrel. It was started in 2008 (most likely illegal at the time) by owner John Neal & brewer Sam Sorrells in the basement of the building next door. It was released December 5, 2008 on the anniversary of the repeal of prohibition. Since the release we keep a steady rotation of two or three in house brews. The (now legal) brewery has since moved from the basement to its own official brew room inside Keg and Barrel.
